Very proud: my daughter is bringing a play she has produced to London after a successful run in Bristol. ZERO will run from 30 Jan – 4 Feb at the King’s Head Theatre, Islington. It is an extraordinary piece and is picking up some great reviews. Check it out!

Zero is an unmissable exploration of consent, family, and being a young woman on the edge of independence.

ZERO
‘Lying little bitch, as if anyone would shag her?’
Beth is drunk outside a Leeds nightclub. She doesn’t even smoke. She just needs to escape her awful birthday party. Her dad’s dancing terribly to Aerosmith. Her mum couldn’t be bothered to turn up. The DJ’s really shite, and her best mate is getting off with… well. She doesn’t want to know.
That can’t be the whole story, though, can it?
Dark, funny and poignant, this one-woman show takes Beth’s well-publicised life apart, piece by piece. Bringing to life nine characters, Beth would rather be anyone but herself. Even if that means finally opening up about what really happened six years ago.

Following their five-star success with Submarine, Popcorn Productions returns with Zero, a blistering one-woman show hitting London’s King’s Head Theatre this January.

Written by Rachel Ruth Kelly and performed by Grace Vance, Zero has stunned audiences in Bristol and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Zero is an unmissable exploration of consent, family, and being a young woman on the edge of independence.

“The script, by Rachel Ruth Kelly, is exceptional”

Donald Stewart, Fringe Review

“Moving, brutal, awkward and funny in equal measure”

Bristol24/7

“A theatre company of thrilling promise”

Tom Morris, Artistic Director of the Bristol Old Vic
